Co-Opera's Magic Flute is set in a restaurant in the 1980's. Sorastro is a Maitre d'Hotel.  Monostatos  the dirty, greasy chef, Papageno supplies birds to the kitchen, the Three Ladies are waitresses, whilst the Sprites are appropriately supernatural. It's fleeting and all the funnier for its brevity.

Mozart's music, glorious and sacred, is all there, offered in its original beauty by some of the brightest, strongest, sweetest voices in Australia today and accompanied by a wonderfully talented string ensemble.
