Todd
McKenney Sings Peter Allen-The Piano Sessions

Few, if any have done as much to
celebrate the life and music of Peter Allen as Todd McKenney, who delighted
audiences as the original star of the musical The Boy From Oz and who has been shaking Allen’s maracas in various
guises ever since.
20 years on, Todd pays homage to
Peter Allen in his live event, Todd
McKenney Sings Peter Allen: The Piano Sessions
, inviting fans to get up
close and personal in an intimate, relaxed setting: just Todd himself, Michael
Rohanek on grand piano,
Ralph
Marshall on bass, additional vocals from the amazing Lisa Callingham,
and Allen’s fantastic songs. The Piano Sessions just
completed two sold out nights at The Opera House, Sydney, with audiences raving
about McKenney’s performance and showmanship.

As well as singing all of Allen’s
biggest hits including Not The Boy Next
Door, (I Go to) Rio, I Honestly Love You, Tenterfield Saddler
and I Still Call Australia Home, Todd will
tell stories about meeting Allen and playing him on stage.
                                                                       Audiences are encouraged to ask
questions and even score him if they like (bring your judge’s score cards –
he’ll cop it sweet!). It’s all about having fun with a lot of laughs, a few
poignant moments and some great music.

                                                                                        Youll laugh,
you might cry and you
ll certainly be
entertained by one of the nation
s best-loved
performers, a multi-talented star who donned his dancing shoes at the tender
age of three.                                         All Tickets: $75.00. PURCHASE TICKETS HERE:

It
seems especially fitting that the first rock opera, created as a concept album
at the end of the turbulent '60s, should have at its centre a social and
political rebel. Jesus' meteor-like rise in renown provides, as the title
suggests, a parallel to contemporary celebrity worship.

As his radical teachings are evermore embraced, Judas increasingly questions
the enlightened motives of this new prophet, resulting in betrayal. Christ's
final days are dramatised with emotional intensity, thought-provoking edge and
explosive theatricality.

Propelled by a stirring score, by turns driving and majestic, satirical and
tender, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR illuminates the transcendent power of the human
spirit with a passion that goes straight to the heart.

Ross has been performing since he was smuggled in to his local comedy
club at the age of 15. Licensing laws meant that immediately after his slot he
had to leave through the kitchen – but he has never looked back.

In the years since, Ross has become known as a truly exciting and
genuinely original performer and has received huge critical acclaim. He is a
former Perrier Award nominee, Barry Award,
and Time Out award winner for best live stand-up, and has won
a shed load of other prestigious awards and nominations.

Since August 1999 Ross has
unveiled a new show each year, following that years classic Perrier award
nominated ‘Laser Boy'.

Each year and each show has seen Noble’s live following grow to the
point where he has been the best-selling show at both the Edinburgh
Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival
on more than one occasion. His shows have transferred to London and Sydney each
year since 2003 and venues have grown in size to accommodate his ever-growing
audience.

Ross Noble is now perhaps the most successful cult comedian of our time,
with a loyal fanbase derived largely from the ‘word-of-mouth’ recommendations
of those having seen him perform live.
