Adults $38.00 Concession $28

Not recommended for children 13 years and under.

Hugh has been
working in education for over 13 years.

Starting out as a
primary school teacher, he then moved into a position working in a secondary
setting with disengaged adolescents. The highlight of his teaching career was
the year he spent in the far north of India volunteering and living at an
underprivileged school in the Himalayas. It was here that he discovered
resilience in its purest form.

Inspired by this
experience Hugh returned to Melbourne and commenced working on his own programs
for schools. ‘The Resilience Project’ was born.

Having completed
his post grad. studies into mental health and resilience, Hugh has developed
and facilitated programs for over 300 schools Australia wide. In 2015, the
National Rugby League asked Hugh to design and implement a program for every
club in the competition. Off the back of the success of the NRL program,
Cricket Australia were quick to follow for all their professional sides. Hugh
has also worked closely with the Australian Netball team and 11 of the AFL sides.

Through an emotionally engaging session,
using evidence based approaches Hugh will discuss practical strategies to build
resilience and develop positive mental health.

The talk is based on the following
strategies:

Gratitude - Appreciating what you have, not
begrudging what you don’t.

Empathy - Thinking of the needs of
others/kindness.

Mindfulness - Being present in the moment,
not becoming distracted by unhelpful or negative thoughts.

He will tell stories of his own experiences
to highlight these strategies and their application in the workplace and at
home.

Todd
McKenney Sings Peter Allen-The Piano Sessions

Few, if any have done as much to
celebrate the life and music of Peter Allen as Todd McKenney, who delighted
audiences as the original star of the musical The Boy From Oz and who has been shaking Allen’s maracas in various
guises ever since.
20 years on, Todd pays homage to
Peter Allen in his live event, Todd
McKenney Sings Peter Allen: The Piano Sessions
, inviting fans to get up
close and personal in an intimate, relaxed setting: just Todd himself, Michael
Rohanek on grand piano,
Ralph
Marshall on bass, additional vocals from the amazing Lisa Callingham,
and Allen’s fantastic songs. The Piano Sessions just
completed two sold out nights at The Opera House, Sydney, with audiences raving
about McKenney’s performance and showmanship.

As well as singing all of Allen’s
biggest hits including Not The Boy Next
Door, (I Go to) Rio, I Honestly Love You, Tenterfield Saddler
and I Still Call Australia Home, Todd will
tell stories about meeting Allen and playing him on stage.
                                                                       Audiences are encouraged to ask
questions and even score him if they like (bring your judge’s score cards –
he’ll cop it sweet!). It’s all about having fun with a lot of laughs, a few
poignant moments and some great music.

                                                                                        Youll laugh,
you might cry and you
ll certainly be
entertained by one of the nation
s best-loved
performers, a multi-talented star who donned his dancing shoes at the tender
age of three.                                         All Tickets: $75.00. PURCHASE TICKETS HERE:
